CBS Radio Pros On The Loose
• CBS Radio Classic Hits WOGL/Philadelphia just experienced its latest bout of staff shrinkage, this time in morning drive, as Frank Lewis, co-host of The Breakfast Club exited on Tuesday after his show. For now, at least, cluster vet Marilyn Russell is rolling solo in mornings. You may recall that WOGL recently parted company with afternoon personality Cadillac Jack, overnight talent Ron Cade and longtime PD Anne Gress. Lewis can be reached through his Facebook page, where he shared a farewell Guinness toast.
• Meanwhile, in an unrelated development, Adrian Garcia has tendered his resignation as Events Director at CBS Radio Alternative KROQ/Los Angeles and is now exploring his options. In a Facebook post, Garcia commented, in part, “When I started working at KROQ 11 years ago my 10-year-old self lost his mind. Today I walk away knowing I gave it my all, protected the brand, learned a lot, spread the knowledge, created the experiences I wanted to attend, created relationships, friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. Time flies by and all good things must come to an end. I must thank all of my staff for supporting me on this crazy journey. I appreciate each and every one of you. A lot of talent comes in and out of the KROQ studios every day. But today the Star left the building… Until next time my KROQ Family. See you in the pit.” Garcia can be reached at amg.productions.la@gmail.com or on the cell at 818-599-6622.
