Bosch Family Truckster Loaded For Charlotte
JT Bosch is packing up the family and the furniture and will soon be on his way to Charlotte as the newly named APD/afternoon personality at iHeartMedia Country WKKT (96.9 The Kat), effective August 14. Bosch has spent the past year as APD/night personality at Country sister WMZQ/Washington.
“I’m excited to have JT in Charlotte and involved in the programming of WKKT,” said an obviously excited Dave Carwile, President of iHeartMedia’s Virginia-Carolina Region. “He’s familiar with the area and his experience in both programming and on-air is unrivaled.” Indeed, Bosch’s most recent programming resume includes iHeartMedia Country duo KASE & KVET/Austin and he was OM and Regional Program Manager for iHeartMedia’s stations in Harrisburg, Lancaster/Reading, Williamsport and Allentown, PA. His earlier programming stops include WRHT/Greenville, NC, WLAN/Lancaster, PA and WHKF (99.3 Kiss FM) & WRBT (Bob 94.9)/Harrisburg, PA.
“I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am to join the amazing iHeartMedia team in Charlotte,” said Bosch. “I’ve spent many years in North Carolina so it’s like a second home for me. My wife and I are excited to raise our family here and I can’t wait to serve the listeners and community in Charlotte.”
• In the APD role, Bosch succeeds Casey Carter, who in April was named PD of Country sister WTQR (New Country Q104.1)/Greensboro. Bosch also replaces Kat afternoon personality Kris Stevens, who exits and is now available. Stevens (left) had also been tracking shifts at various other iHeart Country stations — KNIX/Phoenix, KAJA (KJ97)/San Antonio, KASE/Austin and WCTQ/Saratoga, FL, to name a few. Stevens previously spent seven years at WXTU/Philadelphia starting in nights and later moving up to afternoons, and later, morning host until 2010.
