Changes Happening At 100.7/San Diego

• Now that the sale of Adult Hits KFMB-FM (100.7)/San Diego from Tegna to Local Media San Diego (LMSD) has formally closed, RAMP has learned that morning duo Chris Cantore and Meryl Klemow have exited. At press time the station is running jockless. Klemow posted a lengthy farewell to Facebook and announced that The Cantore Show (with Chris & Meryl) has transitioned into a weekly podcast behind a pay wall on Patreon. Free content will be available at CantoreShow.com.

RAMP reached out to Garett Michaels, PD of Alternative XTRA (91X) and LMSD Director of Rock Programming for more information, but, given the immense challenges currently facing broadcasters in this COVID-19 environment, he told us, “We’re doing our best to operate the LMSD stations with limited staffing. R Dub! and I are proud of our teams.” When asked about specific personnel changes at 100.7, Michaels said, “I can confirm that we are exploring our strategic options for the 100.7 frequency.”
