Chris Roth, Albie Dee Exit WIAD/DC
• UPDATED: RAMP has confirmed that Entercom Classic Hits WIAD (94.7 The Drive)/Washington has parted ways with PD Chris Roth and afternoon driver Albie Dee. Roth was named to the post last October, succeeding Steve Davis, who had moved back home to Richmond, VA. We understand the PD position is wide open, as Entercom DC programming honcho Chris Kinard spearheads the search for a replacement.
Roth has spent the majority of his two-decade radio career in the D.C. metro area, holding multiple programming and on-air roles for iHeartMedia, Hubbard Broadcasting, Salem Communications and Red Zebra Broadcasting in Washington D.C., as well as for Curtis Media Group in Raleigh, NC and Centennial Broadcasting in Winchester, VA. Before joining WIAD Roth served as VP/Business Development for Bohn Broadcasting Services and was doing weekends at Entercom AC WLIF (Today’s 101.9)/Baltimore. Roth is now seeking his next programming opportunity in Classic Hits/Soft AC and can be reached at 301-928-1930, via email at rothamfm@gmail.com or hit him up on Twitter @thechrisroth.
