VP Stripes Suit Jeff Johnson

Jeff Johnson has certainly earned his stripes at iHeartMedia Denver, as he is promoted from Director of Sports Sales to Vice President of Sports Sales & Partnerships. In this lofty new post, Johnson will be charged with growing and managing the cluster’s sports partnerships with the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies, as well as its Broncos-branded station, KDSP-AM (Orange & Blue 760).

Johnson reports to Ryan Clune, SVP of Sales for iHeartMedia’s Denver Region, who said, “I’m thrilled for Jeff. Watching him grow over the years from Senior Account Executive, to Director of Sports Sales, and now VP of Sports Sales & Partnerships has been a highlight of my career. Jeff’s ability to align advertisers with our exclusive sports content, along with delivering unmatched reach, brand affinity, and ROI for our partners makes him the ideal leader to step into this key position.”

Johnson has spent his entire radio career in the iHeartMedia Denver building. Although he has sold all of the market’s product lines during that time, his focus has always been on selling the sports properties. “As a native of the region and lifelong fan of the Broncos and Rockies, I feel blessed that I’ve been able to spend my entire 15-year radio sales and sports partnerships career in Denver,” said Johnson. “With iconic offerings and second-to-none sports broadcast teams, I’m proud and thankful to be able to continue my career with the great team of leaders and professionals at iHeartMedia Denver.”
