Garman Leaves Kevin & Bean

• Longtime fans of The Kevin & Bean Show on The World Famous KROQ/Los Angeles were saddened yesterday when it was announced on-air that the show’s longtime co-host/sidekick Ralph Garman (seen here as an artist’s conception) was leaving after nearly two decades of service. Garman, who is also an actor and voice talent, anchored Kevin & Bean’s Showbiz Beat segment and also contributed a bunch of voices to the show over the years.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Garman, along with hosts Kevin Ryder and Gene “Bean” Baxter, broke the news at the start of yesterday’s show. Garman became emotional as he said, “For almost two decades, you guys have been there for me, professionally and personally, and I really appreciate it. It’s been great. Thanks so much. I don’t know what I’ll be doing next, but it has been an honor to make you laugh and smile in the morning, on occasion, and I hope that I’ll have the opportunity to do that again somehow, someway, and you’ll be kind enough to support me and to pay attention when I do something.”

The Kevin & Bean Show later tweeted, “As you just heard on-air, we’re sad to report that @RalphGarman has announced that today is his last day as part of the Kevin & Bean morning show. We’re grateful for all he has done for us and our program, and wish him all the best.”

Ryder tweeted, “We’re sad to say our friend @RalphGarman will no longer be w @kevinandbean. His talent is unique. His dedication to the show for 18 yrs – amazing. More importantly he’s a really good person. We’ll miss him and truly wish him the best… It’s a tough day :(” Baxter also tweeted his love and respect, adding, “The most uniquely talented man in broadcasting leaves the @KevinAndBean Show today. Thank you @RalphGarman for thousands of laughs over 18 years. You will be missed by all.”
