JT Exits Beasley Detroit; Cluster Seeks OM
• RAMP has confirmed that Jerry “JT” Tarrants has exited as PD of Beasley Classic Rock WCSX and Active Rock WRIF/Detroit. We are told that Beasley Chief Content Officer Justin Chase is overseeing programming of the Detroit stations in the interim. Tarrants had programmed WCSX since July 2013 and was awarded bonus PD stripes for WRIF last December after the departure of Mark Pennington. Before that he spent eight years with Townsquare Media’s cluster in Grand Rapids, MI, rising to OM.
• At the same time, Beasley Media Group Detroit is actively seeking an Operations Manager to oversee Active Rocker WRIF, Classic Rock WCSX, Throwback Hip Hop WMGC (105.1 The Bounce), Urban AC WDMK (105.9 Kiss FM), and Inspirational Praise Network.
