• RAMP has confirmed that Alex Gervasi has exited as midday personality and Music Coordinator at iHeartMedia Top 40 KIIS-FM/Los Angeles after a six-year run. No replacement has been named.

Gervasi (left) is a 10-year company veteran who joined KIIS-FM for overnights/weekends in December 2013, transferring from middays on sister KHFI/Austin. She was elevated from late nights to middays in February 2018.

Gervasi announced her departure in a lengthy and heartfelt Twitter post. Looking ahead, she can be reached at Alex.Gervasi@gmail.com.

• In another surprising departure, Spence, the talented longtime co-host of the Chet Buchanan Morning Show on KLUC/Vegas has departed after a remarkable 21-year run with the station, as his contract comes to an end.

In yet another burst of his trademark creativity, Spence composed his own farewell address and posted it on the KLUC website, a piece accurately titled, “Spence Is No Good At Goodbyes (Door does not hit him in ass on way out).”

“I moved to Vegas in February of ’98 to join the staff of 98.5 KLUC, expecting to spend a year or so and move on,” he wrote. “That year turned into five and then ten, and now some 21+ years later, I’m ready to move on.” He added, “I really have been blessed to be able to work in radio… it’s the only thing I ever wanted to do… no kidding.”

Spence is now exploring multiple options. In the meantime, you are invited to keep up with his exploits by subscribing to his YouTube channel, check out the extensive inventory posted on his website, spencetology.com, or follow him on all social media @Spencetology. He’s also reachable by email at spencetology@hotmail.com.
