Tony Cortez On The Loose
• RAMP has confirmed that Tony Cortez has exited as APD/afternoon drive personality at Alpha Media Top 40 KTFM (Energy 94.1)/San Antonio. Cortez made the announcement himself via his Facebook page, stating, in part, “Entertaining you each day on the airwaves has been one of the most fulfilling and joyful experiences of my life. That’s why it is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye. I will miss the amazing team at Energy 94.1 and everyone I’ve had the pleasure to work with on a daily basis.” He added, “Change is hard but it brings good things and I’m very hopeful for the future.”
Cortez joined KTFM in January 2011 to do mornings and later shifted to afternoons. His previous Texas stops include three years as APD/MD/afternoon talent at KHFI/Austin and five years as MD/night jock at KXXM (Mix 96.1)/San Antonio.
