Classic Hits’ Morning Openings
• Cumulus Classic Hits 103.9 WVBO/Appleton-Oshkosh has an opening for a solo morning host — current wake-up talent Bob Madden is leaving after three years and relocating to Tucson for family reasons, leaving a big opening to fill.
OM/PD Brian Davis is looking for someone who is not only great on the air, but can also bring a valuable arsenal of off-air skills to help out a really small staff. A voicetrack shift on a second station may be part of the gig. Interested candidates should apply online via the Cumulus Careers site. You are also welcome to email Brian with any pertinent questions at brian.davis@cumulus.com. EOE.
• Saga Classic Hits KIOA/Des Moines, IA has a rare opportunity for you to join market vet Luke Matthews as his new morning co-host as Heather McGregor exits.
Before you say yes, a few routine questions: 1) Are you looking for a company that still believes in live and local radio? 2) Are you creative, motivated, and ready to be involved in our community? 3) Are you tuned into what’s going on in the world and able to relate it to the community around you? 4) Are you sales-friendly, promotionally-minded, and creative? 5) Are you a people person with a strong work ethic? Strong skills in production, scheduling music and MusicMaster are a plus.
If this sounds like you, please send your resume and audio to Saga Group PD Scott Chase at schase@sagacom.com. FYI: Des Moines is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country and a great place to plant your roots. Saga Communications is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
