Family First For Toni Marie

• After just shy of a year in afternoon drive at  Cumulus Country WKDF (103.3 Country)/Nashville, format veteran Toni Marie has stepped away. In a Facebook post, Toni explained that she was returning home to California after the recent passing of her mother. “I’ve always been able to roam because I knew my family back home was solid,” she wrote. “We took a hard hit losing my Mama a few weeks ago and there’s never been a need for me to be back home like there is now, for me and for them.”

Toni Marie arrived in Nashville last November from Portland, OR, where she was APD/middays for Entercom Country KWJJ (99.5 The Wolf). Prior to that, she was MD/on-air for Buck Owens‘ legendary Country outlets KUZZ & KRJK (The Bull 97.3)/Bakersfield, CA and APD/MD at iHeartMedia’s KWNR (95.5 The Bull)/Las Vegas.

Toni’s post continued, “My #CumulusNashville family has been absolutely stellar from day one of arrival last year and I am thankful. I don’t know what’s next, but I’m looking for a new challenge out here in California… Whatever may come, I know God’s got me and my Mama is right beside me.” Toni can now be reached at tonimarieradio@gmail.com.

Cumulus has now posted the opening. Qualified candidates are urged to step forward, make your presence known, read the job description and apply online. EOE.
