Opportunity Knocks

• If you love to write it, we’d love to read it! Saga Communications is on the hunt for a truly creative writer who knows how to connect with listeners. Are you sick of hundreds of radio stations touting “Today’s Best Variety” or “The Greatest Hits of All Time?” So are we. Finally, it’s your time to write meaningful, unique, quality imaging instead of all the pablum you hear on the radio.

[pab-lum (noun): bland or insipid intellectual fare, entertainment, etc.; pap]

This is a writer’s dream come true — Saga is looking for the ultimate Creative Services Director to fill this amazing opportunity to write imaging and promos for many of our Saga Communications stations. Talented candidates are invited to send samples of your amazing writing style to Saga VP of Programming Bob Lawrence at blawrence@sagacom.com. Saga is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and thanks for listening.

• Yesterday we learned that Ashley Wilson abruptly resigned her position as APD/MD position at Renda Country WGNE (99.9 Gator Country)/Jacksonville after a year in the gig. Wilson’s unscheduled departure for an opportunity TBA has left OM Chuck Beck with the task of replacing her.

As Beck explains to potential applicants, “Send a cassette and typed resume to Chuck Beck… or if you like this new ‘technology’ thing, email your stuff to cbeck@rendabroadcasting.com.”
