SoCal Sound Is Looking

• RAMP has learned that influential Southern California Triple A KCSN (88.5 The SoCal Sound)/Los Angeles has a rare full-time on-air opening.

PD Mark “Mookie” Kaczor is looking for that certain special someone who has a minimum of two  years experience working at a real radio station or similar audio platform. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc., and have demonstrated expertise in social media platforms — Instagram, FB, Twitter, LinkedIn.

Candidates should arrive equipped with a love and understanding of all genres of rock music and have the ability to operate traditional broadcast equipment.

In addition to normal broadcast activities, like artist interviews, specialty programming, remote broadcasts, emceeing concerts or other community events, all 88.5 on-air hosts will also participate semi-annual pledge drives and other fundraising activities of the membership department.

The SoCal Sound is a combined effort of KCSN at Cal State University, Northridge (CSUN), and KSBR at Saddleback College, Mission Viejo, CA.
