Wake Up In Des Moines!

RAMP has learned that Sean “Fish” Fisher has exited as morning co-host on Saga Active Rock KAZR (Lazer 103.3)/Des Moines, IA after less than four months on the job. His co-host, Lazer MD Heather Lee is now rolling solo in mornings.

The team of Fish & Heather was established last November — Fish had previously done afternoons on Lazer from 2001-2003 before moving on to a couple of other “Lazers” — the former WLZR (now WHQG)/Milwaukeeand Saga sister WLZX (Lazer 99.3)/Springfield, MA, among other stops. Heather Lee had previously done nights on Hubbard Radio AC KRWM (Warm 106.9)/Seattle and earlier worked for NRG Media/Omaha.

RAMP reached out to Lazer PD Andy Hall, who confirmed Fish’s departure, saying, “Earlier today, Fish resigned his position as co-host of Lazer’s morning show. I wish he and his family nothing but the best.”

And yes, Fish’s exit now creates an opening for a qualified successor to take over. Hall added, “Indeed, this creates a rare opportunity — at a time when nobody is looking to hire — for someone to become a member of our Lazer family, and rock mornings, in tandem, with Heather Lee. Heather is an incredibly talented and creative person that I’m grateful to have as part of our team.” Interested candidates for this EOE position are cordially invited to get your best stuff to Andy ASAP at ahall@dsmradio.com.
