• Entercom Rock WAAF/Boston has parted ways with afternoon drive duo Matty Blake and Nick Stevens after two years. PD Joe Calgaro is now actively scouring the planet for a replacement.
It was January 2017 when the team of Blake and Stevens was originally conceived and launched in afternoon drive. Both guys are Massachusetts natives — Blake is a comedian and TV, film and commercial actor, while Stevens had been doing stand-up comedy in New York for 20 years. Stevens is also a successful commercial voiceover actor who is perhaps best known for his alter ego “Fitzy,” a profane, hyper-obsessed Boston sports fan.
On an interim basis, WAAF weekend warrior Bob Hannah has graciously volunteered to drive you home weekdays from 3-7pm. You may recall that Hannah was WAAF’s fulltime evening personality before his position was eliminated a few years ago. The position is now posted on the Entercom Careers Portal (Ref# 31199) — qualified candidates are invited to apply online for this EOE position.
