Wanna Wake Up With The Wolf?
• UPDATED: Trey Morgan is leaving his spot as co-host of Wake Up With The Wolf on Cumulus Country KPLX (99.5 The Wolf)/Dallas-Fort Worth after Oct. 31 — the end of a two-year deal. According to PD Mac Daniels, Morgan (left) will continue with the show, alongside Lisa Taylor through the transition as the search for a new co-host gets underway (see job posting below).
Morgan is a Dallas native who joined The Wolf on Oct. 31, 2016. Before that he did afternoon drive on CBS Radio AC WNEW (formerly Fresh 102.7)/New York. Morgan’s previous major market experience includes a stint as APD/MD/midday talent at iHeartMedia Alternative KYSR (ALT 98-7)/Los Angeles and he was Asst. MD/late nights at Z100/New York.
Morgan remarked, “It has been a real honor to work in mornings on the legendary 99-5 The Wolf, KPLX, in my hometown, Dallas. • Cumulus Media Dallas-Ft. Worth is now seeking an experienced morning show host to lead the Wake Up With the Wolf Show on KPLX (99.5 The Wolf), working alongside longtime co-host Lisa Taylor. Applicants should be self-starters who possess an extremely good work ethic and are highly organized, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have five years of large or major market experience with a successful ratings history, strong on-air skills, familiarity with broadcast equipment, and the ability to work well in a team environment. Solid show prep, the ability to deliver content creatively and concisely, and a strong social media presence is a must. This is THE opportunity to do mornings at one of America’s most-listened-to Country stations.
