As we reported earlier this year, previous PD/morning talent Tim Millerexited over the holidays, and in February longtime KKAJ APD/afternoon personality Mike Elroy was upped to Program Director.
KKAJ is a heritage Country station with a little red-dirt content for flavor. Ardmore, OK is on the OK/TX state line and offers a laid-back lifestyle near beautiful Lake Texoma, the Arbuckle Mountains and is just one hour from DFW to the south and one hour to the OKC metro to the north. This is a tremendous opportunity with a strong cluster that dominates the market in sales, promotions and on-air. The gig requires at least three years of on-air experience, as well as excellent computer skills for audio delivery and automation systems, such as Wide Orbit, Maestro, Adobe Audition, etc. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, and prior experience with websites, social media, mobile and digital delivery platforms would be advisable.
