Alfredson Upped To Columbia SVP/Marketing

• Columbia Records has promoted Erika Alfredson to Senior Vice President of Marketing. Alfredson, who was most recently VP of Marketing, is based in Columbia’s Los Angeles office and will head the West Coast Marketing team. She reports to Jenifer Mallory, General Manager for Columbia Records, who remarked, “Erika has served as a key architect for many of Columbia’s marquee artist campaigns over the years that have yielded tremendous results. Her competitive spirit, dedication, and drive will continue to be an asset for the entire label as she takes on a larger role advancing strategy with the wider team. All of Columbia joins me in congratulating Erika on this well-deserved promotion.”

Alfredson is an 18-year Sony Music veteran who joined the company in 2005 as a retail marketing rep, working out of the West Coast office for Sony Music Label Group. In 2011 she was appointed Marketing Manager for Columbia Records, and worked her way up to Director of Marketing and Sr. Director of Marketing before earning her VP stripes in 2016. She was also included in Billboard‘s 2018 “40 Under 40” Power Player list.

Commenting on her promotion, Alfredson said, “I am grateful to Jenifer Mallory and Ron Perry for their continuing support and leadership. We have a great team here at Columbia and I look forward to working together to achieve exciting new benchmarks for our great roster of artists.”
