Barbis Named Head Of Promo, Big Loud Rock
• Big Loud Rock, the alternative rock-focused imprint of Big Loud Records, announced the appointment of David Barbis as its new Head of Promotion.
In this pivotal new role, Barbis will spearhead Big Loud Rock’s promotion team, strategy, and execution, reporting directly to Partner / President of Big Loud Rock & Big Loud Management, Greg Thompson, who said, “Dave is a true music man and one of the most outstanding promotion executives I have ever known. His passion for his artists is unparalleled, and we are beyond thrilled to have him join the Big Loud Rock team.”
Barbis’s career spans over two decades in the music industry, most recently serving as VP of Promotion at C3 Management, where he played a critical role in the development and success of artists such as The Revivalists, White Reaper, The Head And The Heart, Mt. Joy, Chevelle, Wilderado, and Modest Mouse, among others. Prior to C3, Barbis held significant roles at Polygram/Island, DreamWorks, and Capitol Records.
