BBR: Life After Restructuring

• Earlier this week BBR Music Group announced a restructuring of its label line-up and the shuttering of its Red Bow Records imprint. Today BBR unveiled its new executive appointments, effective immediately —

Former Red Bow VP of Promotion Shelley Hargis segues to Broken Bow Records as its new co-VP of Promotions, working alongside Lee Adams. Hargis will now oversee promotion for the Midwest. Both Hargis and Adams report to Carson James, SVP of Promotion of BBR Music Group.

Former Red Bow Directors of Promotion Kendra Whitehead and Caitlyn Gordon transition to similar positions at Wheelhouse Records, reporting to newly appointed Wheelhouse VP of Promotions Ken Tucker, who transitions from Apple Music on July 23.

Lexi Willson moves from her position as the Dir. of Promotion, West Coast at Wheelhouse Records to handle Northeast promo responsibilities for Stoney Creek Records, reporting to Stoney Creek VP of Promotion Byron Kennedy. Matt Holmberg, formerly Promotion Coordinator for Wheelhouse and Red Bow Records, is named Manager of Secondary Promotions and Andrea Knipp is named Promotion Coordinator for Wheelhouse Records, Broken Bow and Stoney Creek Records.

Jon Loba, EVP of BBR Music Group, said, “Our newly restructured labels strongly position us to deliver at the highest levels for our artists as well as our radio partners.”

• There was, however, the inevitable human fallout as a result of the restructuring, and the following promotion professionals are now available: Red Bow Records’ Director of Nat’l Promotion Neda Tobin is reachable at leppardroxx@comcast.net; Red Bow Records’ Dir. of Northeast Promotion Jeff Davis can be contacted 615-260-4975 or promojeffdavis@gmail.com.
