Berman & Lee Elevated Atop The New ICLG
• Steve Berman and Annie Lee have been elevated to primary positions within the Office of Chairman at the newly formed Interscope Capitol Labels Group (ICLG), it was announced today by the company’s Chairman & CEO, John Janick.
Berman, formerly Vice Chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M, is named Vice Chairman of ICLG, and Lee, formerly Chief Financial Officer of Interscope Geffen A&M, is named as Chief Operating Officer of ICLG, which is now comprised of all artists, labels and personnel within the companies formerly named Interscope Geffen A&M and Capitol Music Group.
Janick remarked, “Steve and Annie are both highly accomplished executives who have been critical to our company’s growth and success for more than two decades. They have worked closely with me in redesigning ICLG to benefit and enhance each individual label under our umbrella and foster an entrepreneurial spirit that will set the standard for what a modern music company should be. I congratulate Steve and Annie on their well-deserved promotions, and look forward to sharing enormous success with them in the coming years.”
Berman had served as Vice Chairman of Interscope Geffen A&M since 2010. He joined the company in 1991, only six months after its inception as Interscope Records, to lead its marketing and sales efforts. Lee joined UMG in 2005 as Sr. Financial Analyst. In 2006 she was named Sr. Director of Finance & Operations, and was promoted to SVP in 2014. She had served as CFO of Interscope Geffen A&M since 2019.
