Big Machine Shifts Gears
While nothing has been announced officially, RAMP has learned that Big Machine Label Group has apparently shuttered its Dot Records imprint. The company did announce a revamped Promotions Department structure under the command of Interim General Manager Jim Weatherson and VP of Promotion Kris Lamb. [Ed. note: lending some credence to rumored demise of Dot Records, it was just last week when we reported Lamb had transitioned from his role as VP of Promotion at Dot Records to a similar role at Big Machine Records].
The rest of the newly restructured label looks like this: National Director: Erik Powell; West Coast: Bill Lubitz; Midwest: Alex Valentine; Southwest: James Marsh; Southeast: AJ Calvin; Northeast: Brooke Diaz; Coordinator: Nicole Hunt and Southeast Specialist: Jeff Davis.
And there’s more: Former Dot Records National Director of Radio Promotion Michelle Kammerer segues to BMLG Records in the role of National Director. Recording artists Tucker Beathard and Carly Pearce are now exclusive artists on the Big Machine Records roster and Drake White moves to BMLG Records.
