Bill Burrs: Free Agent
• RAMP has confirmed that Senior Executive Bill Burrs is leaving 300 Entertainment after five years at the label. Burrs commented, “I had a great five-year run with 300 and learned so much. I want to thank Lyor Cohen, and especially Kevin Liles for allowing me to step outside the normal promo duties and get involved with the DSPs, both domestically and internationally as well as working radio in the U.K. and Europe.”
He added, “I know 300 will continue to dominate — so much great music and opportunity out there. I’m now looking forward to the next chapter.”
Prior to joining 300, Burrs is probably best known and loved for his 15-year run at RCA Records, where he rose to SVP of Rock Music, and he cut his promo teeth at Geffen Records in the ’90s (remember them?). Looking ahead, you can easily reach Burrs at smallchangenyc@gmail.com.
