BMG Adds Gross & Pitynski

• BMG has announced two new appointments to its L.A.-based Frontline Recorded Music team — Rob Gross joins as VP of Marketing, Recorded Music, and Vaneza Pitynski joins as Director of Digital Marketing, Recorded Music.

In his new role, Gross will be responsible for overseeing the projects of BMG’s growing roster of Rock and Alternative artists including A Perfect Circle, Alice In Chains, Dhani Harrison, Glorious Sons, Hollywood Undead, JJ Wilde and LP, alongside new releases from Godsmack and 311. Gross most recently worked at Interscope Records and was responsible for the marketing efforts of the label’s rock and alternative releases. He previously worked at Dine Alone Records, Universal Music Group and Ingrooves-Fontana. Gross now reports to Thomas Scherer, EVP, Repertoire & Marketing, Los Angeles, who commented, “Rob and Vaneza are two exciting new hires that bring with them a forward-thinking approach to support and drive our artists to new levels. They possess the expertise, entrepreneurial spirit, and creativity that align with BMG’s values to further strengthen the LA recorded team in supporting our artist releases.”

Pitynski will be responsible for spearheading all digital strategy and marketing efforts for the L.A. Frontline Recorded team. With a diverse background in e-commerce, digital strategy, and branding, she previously worked at Interscope Records and 19 Entertainment. Pitynski reports to Dan Gill, GM/SVP, Sales, Recorded Music, who said, “It’s a pleasure to welcome both Rob and Vaneza to the team. The two truly understand our artist needs and we are confident they will lead their team’s efforts planning and executing comprehensive and innovative campaigns.”
