Chiappetta Makes Management Move
• Deckstar/YM&U Group welcomes promo pro Christine Chiappetta as Director of Radio for its U.S./North America operations. Chiappetta brings with her more than 23 years of experience, with prior stops at Mercury and Columbia Records, and most recently, 13 years at Island Def Jam Music Group as SVP of Promotion, Rock Formats.
In her new role, the L.A.-based Chiappetta will work closely with the division’s Managing Directors, Lawrence Vavra and Matt Colon to enhance their clients’ radio presence while coordinating the promotion and marketing of the Group’s artists, including Steve Aoki, blink-182, Cheat Codes, The Interrupters and Morrissey, at all formats with a variety of labels. She will also work with the company’s UK roster, which includes James Arthur, Clean Bandit and Years & Years.
