Columbia Celebrates In Styles
Congrats on a very exciting week for Columbia Records, which is celebrating two simultaneous format No. 1s — “Something Just Like This” by The Chainsmokers & Coldplay reached the top spot at Mediabase Top 40 and “Say You Won’t Let Go” by James Arthur accomplishing the same feat over at Hot AC.
And there’s more — Harry Styles debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart. With Styles’ start of 193,000 he earns the biggest debut sales week for a U.K. male artist’s first full-length album since Nielsen Music began tracking sales in 1991. Styles surpasses the impressive stats of the previous record holder, Sam Smith, who in 2014 saw his In the Lonely Hour album launch with 166,000 copies sold.
