Digital VP Upgrade For WCM’s Ludwick

Andrew Ludwick has been promoted to Vice President of Business Development, Digital for Warner Chappell Music (WCM). In this new role, he will work directly with major technology partners and outside counsel in the digital space, acting as the commercial lead to close licensing agreements, while also overseeing business opportunities in developing markets and partnering with the company’s Finance, Administration, and Operations teams to ensure cohesion across WCM’s digital supply chain.

Ludwick reports to Natalie Madaj, WCM’s SVP of Global Digital, who commented, “Andrew is a natural leader and collaborator and has been instrumental in securing highly impactful digital deals across a variety of markets and verticals. He’s tuned in to the latest technologies impacting our industry, and I know he’ll continue to find innovative ways to amplify our global catalog as he takes on this exciting role.”

Ludwick has spent nearly a decade with Warner Music Group (WMG), getting his start at Warner Records before taking on a position in emerging media licensing for WMG’s Sync division. He most recently served as Director of Digital Innovation for WCM and also managed relationships with digital partners and led commercial negotiations across a variety of verticals, including fitness, social media, karaoke, print, and digital gaming, as well as in the Web3 and Metaverse spaces.

Commenting on his new opportunity, Ludwick said, “I started my career in music as an intern at Warner Records and got to where I am today by leaning into challenging business cases and seeking solutions. I’m deeply grateful that Warner Music Group and Warner Chappell value innovation and career growth, and I’m also very thankful for the mentorship that I’ve received along the way. I look forward to continuing to work closely with Natalie and our co-chairs to expand our strategy and unlock even more revenue opportunities for our songwriters.”

Ludwick is a founding member of WMG’s West Coast LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group and currently serves as a WMG mentor for the Techstars Music Accelerator program.
