EVP Elevation For Def Jam’s Natina Nimene
• Natina Nimene has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Promotion & Artist Relations for Def Jam Recordings. In her ongoing role, Nimene will continue to lead the strategy, execution and management of Def Jam’s promotion campaigns, its roster of artists, and its staff. In carrying out her duties at the label, while continuing be a special liaison for core Def Jam artists including Ye, Pusha T, Teyana Taylor, 2 Chainz, Jeezy, YG and developing acts Muni Long, Coco Jones, Fredo Bang and Danileigh.
In making the announcement of Nimene’s elevation, Def Jam Recordings’ Chairman & CEO Tunji Balogun said, “Natina is a gifted, one-of-a-kind executive who has a rare, innate talent for connecting with artists in a meaningful way and executing their plans with care, passion and razor-sharp focus and expertise. Nimene this year celebrates ten years at Def Jam. She has served as Senior Vice President, Urban Promotion, since 2019. The following year, she added Artist Relations to her portfolio, managing talent opportunities across a broad spectrum of media, including radio, podcasts, community and philanthropic endeavors, and networks like BET, MTV, Revolt and Fuse.
