Executive Action: Glassman, Afloarei, Turcotte

• RAMP has confirmed that Epic Records and EVP of Promotion Todd Glassman have parted company. No replacement has been named yet. Glassman joined Epic in July 2013 as SVP of Promotion as the label underwent a restructuring. He previously served as SVP of Promotion at Island Def Jam and Universal Motown.

• Elsewhere inside Epic Records, we learned late yesterday that VP of Top 40 Promotion Sandra Afloarei has been elevated to SVP of Top 40 Promotion. Stand by for the official quote-filled announcement.

• Cox Media Group (CMG) Atlanta has named Mark Turcotte as its new General Sales Manager. Turcotte (left) starts July 31 and segues from Midwest Communications in Nashville, where he has served as General Sales Manager for the past seven years. This move also marks a return to Atlanta — and CMG –for Turcotte, who was previously the Atlanta-based NSM for CMG Radio’s former Birmingham, AL stations. He also served as National and Local Sales Manager for CBS Radio’s WZGC/Atlanta.

“Mark Turcotte has an exceptional track record for converting vision into sales strategy and execution,” said Jaleigh Long, CMG Atlanta Radio Director of Sales. “This is the perfect time for Mark to join Atlanta’s talented sales leadership team of Beth Bowers and Kris Hackett. Together they will lead the cluster’s sales team in the highly competitive Atlanta market.”

Turcotte remarked, “A return to Atlanta and Cox Media Group Radio, at arguably the most successful radio cluster in the country, is such a tremendous honor. The values of the company and their leadership align perfectly with those I have tried to emulate throughout my career. This is a great opportunity to work with folks I consider to be among the absolute best in the profession.”
