FOX Rocks iHeartRadio Music Awards

• The 6th annual iHeartRadio Music Awards took over downtown Los Angeles last Thursday. Hosted by T-Pain, the broadcast featured performances from Alicia Keys, Ariana Grande, Backstreet Boys, Ella MaiGarth Brooks, Halsey with special guests Yungblud and Travis Barker, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves with special guest Chris Martin, lovelytheband and Marshmello with special guest Lauv.

Ariana went home with three of the evening’s major awards –Artist of the Year, Female Artist of the Year and Pop Album of the Year (Sweetener). Ella Mai also earned three awards, winning R&B Artist of the Year, Best New R&B Artist and R&B Song of the Year (“Boo’d Up”). Drake also scored a hat trick, with trophies for Male Artist of the Year, Hip Hop Song of the Year (“God’s Plan”) and Hip Hop Album of the Year (Scorpion). “The Middle” by Zedd, Maren Morris and Grey was named Song of the Year and Dance Song of the Year. Other multiple winners included J Balvin, Marshmello, Panic! At The Disco and Imagine Dragons.

Among the show’s other highlights: Jamie Foxx presented Alicia Keys with the iHeartRadio Innovator Award; Halsey received the iHeartRadio Fangirls Award presented by L’Oréal Paris; and Taylor Swift took home the Tour of the Year Award. Garth Brooks‘ mega-fan Chris Pratt made a surprise appearance to present Garth with the first-ever Artist of the Decade Award. Brooks also performed a medley of his No. 1 hits (with Pratt joining him on stage to sing along) before accepting his major award.

iHeartRadio personalities prominently during the festivities included Angela Yee, Bobby Bones, Danielle Monaro, Elvis DuranEnrique Santos, Gandhi, Sisanie and Tanya Rad, among others.
