Goldstein Named SVP/A&R For Columbia
• Grammy-winning recording engineer, mixer and producer Noah Goldstein has been appointed Senior Vice President of A&R for Columbia Records. In his new capacity, Goldstein will report to Ron Perry, Chairman and CEO of Columbia Records and Justin Eshak & Imran Majid, co-Heads of A&R for the label. “I’ve been following Noah’s work as a producer for years,” Perry said. “He complements our A&R culture and brings an impeccable creative element to our team.”
After graduating from Temple University in 2006 with a Master’s degree in Broadcasting, Telecommunications, and Mass Media, Goldstein got right down to business, going to work at New York’s legendary Electric Lady Studios and contributing to projects from Patti Smith, Keith Richards, M.I.A., Nas, Mos Defand Rihanna, among others.
In 2011 Goldstein became Kanye West‘s official engineer, serving in a wide-ranging production capacity with Kanye & G.O.O.D. Music as a producer, A&R rep, engineer and mixer on multiple projects. Among the award-winning projects he’s worked on over the past decade are Kanye’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Yeezus and The Life Of Pablo, as well as Kanye & Jay-Z‘s Watch The Throne, Arcade Fire’s The Suburbs, Frank Ocean‘s Blonde, Anohni‘s Hopelessness, Travis Scott‘s Rodeo, Drake‘s More Life, and others.
Commenting on his new position with Columbia Records, Goldstein said, “I’m excited to join Columbia and to continue pushing the boundaries of the way music is created and discovered.”
