Harlow, Lamar, Lil Nas X Lead VMA Noms

Jack Harlow, Kendrick Lamar, and Lil Nas X lead the list of nominees for next month’s 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, which were announced on Tuesday, July 26.

The three artists have racked up a total of seven nods, with both Lil Nas X and Harlow being nominated together with their smash duet, “Industry Baby” in five different categories. Lamar has been nominated in Best Cinematography for two of his music videos: “Family Ties” and “N95.” Behind them, both Doja Cat and Harry Styles are tied for the second-most nominations with six each, while Billie Eilish, Drake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, and The Weeknd follow close behind with nominations in five categories.

Lil Nas X and Harlow might have the greatest number of nominations together, but they are up for serious competition for the highly coveted Video of the Year award, up against Doja Cat’s “Woman,” Harry Styles’s “As It Was,” Ed Sheeran’s “Shivers,” Drake’s “Way 2 Sexy,” and Taylor Swift’s “All Too Well” (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version).

The 2022 MTV Video Music Awards return to the Prudential Center in scenic Newark, NJ on Sunday, August 28 at 8pm ET/PT. A complete list of nominees is posted at mtv.com, and you can cast your vote online here.
