Kachko Upped To SVP At BMG

• Michael Kachko has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Catalog Recordings for BMG U.S. The Los Angeles-based Kachko is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, marketing direction, and exploitation of BMG’s global catalog recordings in the U.S., including the iconic works of Iron Maiden, Motörhead, The Kinks, Keith Richards, John FogertyDio, Nick Cave, Hank Williams, and the famed reggae catalog of Trojan Records.

A well-respected industry vet with over 20 years of experience as a catalog specialist, Kachko previously served as Vice President, Catalog Recordings for BMG U.S. In his newly enhanced position Kachko will continue to report to Peter Stack, Executive Vice President, Global Catalog Recordings, who said, “Michael has been a valuable asset for BMG and our esteemed clients. His respect for artists and their creative vision, coupled with his profound knowledge of their music has been instrumental in BMG’s growing success as one of the world’s leading catalog recordings operation.”

Prior to joining BMG in 2013, Kachko previously worked for Warner Music Group’s Rhino Entertainment where he was involved in marketing the catalogs of a multitude of artists including Depeche Mode, Genesis, the Grateful Dead, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival, The Cure and Jane’s Addiction. Kachko began his career at Universal Music Group where he handled projects for Bon Jovi, The Police, Sting, John Mellencamp, The Who, Styx, Slayer, KISS, Peter Frampton, Tears For Fears and Primus, as well as the iconic Now That’s What I Call Music! series.
