Kennedy Named VP of Stoney Creek

BBR Music Group is excited, proud, thrilled and enthused to announce that Byron Kennedy has been named VP of Promotion for the company’s label imprint Stoney Creek Records. The Stoney Creek roster includes Randy Houser, Parmalee, Lindsay Ell, newcomer Adam Craig and emerging act Jimmie Allen.

Kennedy is elevated from his most recent position as Director of West Coast Regional Promotion for BBR sister imprint Wheelhouse Records. He joined the BBR Music Group in June of 2016, making the big move from the radio side — he spent 15 years with CBS Radio, most notably in Sacramento as PD of Rhythmic KSFM and Country KNCI and VP of Programming for the cluster. He also launched several stations for CBS Radio in Sacramento and Phoenix and previously worked in Honolulu and Fresno.

“Byron is one of the most natural promotion executives I have ever worked with, said Jon Loba, EVP of BBR Music Group. “Additionally, he is one of the most natural leaders I have ever worked with. I’m so excited to give him the reigns of the Stoney Creek staff with the huge year they have ahead in 2018 and have no doubt everyone will be trying to steal him as VP, just as they tried to steal him as a regional.” Kennedy reports to SVP of Promotion Carson James and succeeds Chris Loss, who last month was upped to VP of Digital Strategy & Analytics. Kennedy can be congratulated at 916-798-1025 or byron@stoneycreekrecords.com.
