• Rich Robinson has been appointed EVP, Sync and Creative Services at Warner/Chappell Music, the music publishing division of Warner Music Group. The Creative Services team is a new department at Warner/Chappell that will focus on adding to the suite of services offered to the publisher’s full spectrum of songwriters and catalog. As part of his new role, the London-based Robinson will be building the Creative Services team outside the U.S. while also leading Warner/Chappell’s international sync strategy, coordinating with markets outside the U.S., and working closely with Mike Smith, Warner/Chappell UK’s Managing Director.

Robinson segues from Warner Music, where he was most recently SVP, Sync for the UK and Europe. He now reports to Carianne Marshall, Warner/Chappell’s recently named Chief Operating Officer, who said, “This appointment marks a commitment from Warner/Chappell to invest in songwriters at all stages of their development. Talented and well-connected, Rich is the perfect choice to lead our sync efforts outside of North America and help us strengthen our reach in a media world that’s more globalized than ever.”

• Concord Music has appointed former Vevo Germany GM Tina Funk to the newly created position of Managing Director, Publishing for Concord Music in Germany. Funk will be based at Concord Music’s Berlin HQ and lead the expansion of Concord Music’s combined publishing businesses in Germany across Administration, Synchronization and Creative, reporting directly to Concord Music’s clearly delighted European President of Publishing, John Minch.

“We are delighted,” said Minch. “Tina comes from the cutting edge where music meets technology… absolutely where our business is right now. It says a lot about Concord that we can persuade Tina to join us and to lead the development of Concord Music in Germany.” Funk will also collaborate with Concord Music’s global Creative team, led by EVP of Worldwide Creative, Kim Frankiewicz. Funk will also be tasked to strengthen domestic and international sync exploitation in tandem with the international sync team, led by Sara Lord, VP of International Synchronization.

Funk has served as GM of Vevo Germany since 2013. Prior to joining Vevo, Funk was SVP Music at EMI Music Germany. During her tenure at EMI she was also MD of the German subsidiary of Mute and also held senior management positions at V2 Music and Virgin Records. [Photo credit: Sina-Riese]
