Larsen Upped To SVP/Int’l For WBR

Ben Larsen has been promoted to Senior Vice President, International Marketing for Warner Bros. Records (WBR), based at the label’s new downtown Los Angeles headquarters. Larsen, who was most recently WBR’s VP of International Marketing, joined the Warner Music family in London in 2009 before moving to L.A. three years ago.

In his new post, Larsen now heads the International Marketing team and reports to WBR Co-Chairman & COO Tom Corson, who said, “Since coming on board at WBR, I have been continually impressed by Ben’s deep understanding of both the overall global marketplace as well as the cultures and musical trends that are unique to individual territories around the world. With more global possibilities opening up than ever before, Ben and his team are perfectly positioned to create innovative, boundary-crossing opportunities for our artists. I’m very pleased to welcome him to his much-deserved new post.”

Larsen started his WMG career nine years ago, when he joined the Global Marketing team in London. He relocated to Los Angeles in 2015 and became International Marketing Director for WBR before being upped to VP, International Marketing. Larsen noted, “To be in the middle of connecting our growing roster of exciting new talent and our established superstars with our Warner teams, partners, and fans all over the world is an incredible opportunity. I’d like to thank Tom and [WBR Co-Chairman & CEO] Aaron Bay-Schuck for creating an environment where we can give our artists and their music the care, devotion, and support to have truly global careers. We have an amazing team in place, and we’re all excited to be part of making new history at WBR.”

Larsen is joined on the WBR International Marketing team by Susan Leon, SVP, Global Artist & Label Relations; Kate Haffenden, Sr. Director, International Marketing; Joe Maddern, Director, International Marketing; Ashley May and Alex Chandler, Managers, International Marketing; and Assistants Mollie Chen and Bryana Schuyler.
