Macky Joins Quartz Hill As SVP/Promotion
• Veteran Country radio and record pro Bill Macky has joined Quartz Hill Music Group (QHMG) as SVP of Promotion & Marketing, overseeing radio strategy for both the Quartz Hill Records and Stone Country Records rosters.
Macky spent the past 13 years as VP of Promotion at Black River Entertainment, helping to break seven-time No. 1 chart-topping artist Kelsea Ballerini as well as working with multi-platinum selling artist Chris Young and more. His previous stops include roles at MCA Nashville, Sony Nashville and several independent record labels. Macky earlier spent 16 years in radio at WDSY/Pittsburgh, KSON/San Diego, KRTY/San Jose, KNCI/Sacramento and KUZZ/Bakersfield.
Macky will report directly to QHMG Founder/President Benny Brown, Partners Paul Brown and Jason Sellers and to EVP Ash Bowers. “I’m excited to have Bill joining our Quartz Hill Music Group family!” said Benny Brown. “He’s worked with some of the best of the best in Nashville and has had great success at each step in his career.
