MCA In Business With ONE4 Records

• MCA has joined forces with industry veteran Brian Wright and Red Light Management’s Coran Capshaw to forge a strategic alignment with ONE4 Records, the Nashville-based label co-founded by Wright and Capshaw. Named after the mantra “one for all,” ONE4 Records is focused on artist development and long-term career building.

“At MCA, we believe the future of this business belongs to companies that are willing to invest deeply in artists, songwriting, and long-term creative development,” said Mike Harris, President & CEO of MCA. “Brian has one of the strongest creative instincts in the business, and alongside Coran and the ONE4 team, we’re creating an environment where artists can develop authentically and sustainably with the support and infrastructure of MCA behind them.” Joining ONE4 as Creative Director is Katherine Godwin, who segues from her role as Manager, A&R at Tape Room Music.

“A&R is the driving force behind what we’re building,” said Wright, former EVP of A&R at Universal Music Group, whose creative leadership has helped shape some of the most influential Country albums of the last decade, including Chris Stapleton’s breakthrough album, Traveller, and Jon Pardi‘s California Sunrise. “With the support and resources of the partners invested in this venture, we have the flexibility to follow whatever path best serves the artist and their music.”

Capshaw added, “It’s exciting to be a part of a model centered on artist and music development that has a more personal, hands-on approach.”

ONE4 plans to continue expanding its creative and operational infrastructure, with additional announcements including artist signings expected in the coming months.
