Nix Named President of Triple Tigers

• Sending our best wishes to Norbert Nix, GM/Partner at Nashville-based, independent record label Triple Tigers Records, who this week was upped to President. Triple Tigers Records is a Sony Music Entertainment imprint in partnership with Nix, Thirty Tigers and Triple 8 Management.

Nix is a 30-year industry veteran who bears extensive experience in record promotion and artist development, artist management, booking, publishing, and catalog acquisition. Under his leadership, Triple Tigers Records has signed a boutique roster of critically acclaimed singer/songwriters including Scotty McCreery, Russell Dickerson, Gone West (Colbie Caillat, Justin Young, Nelly Joy, and Jason Reeves), and Cam, who recently joined the label in a first-time partnership with RCA Records New York.

Since its launch in 2016, Triple Tigers Records has quickly become one of Nashville’s powerhouse record labels, racking up six consecutive No. 1 records. “Less is more,” said Nix. “We have a talented and experienced staff and a small, but exceptional group of artists who understand that they have our total support. We aren’t stepping on ourselves with a bloated roster. In our fourth year, we are in the black, and things are good — unusually good.”

Nix added, “There will always be challenges, but as long as we nurture our artists, support their creativity, and help them achieve their goals, we will find success. That’s where the drive and focus comes from. It goes back to one thing — great music — and how that shapes peoples’ lives. When you have that, everything else falls into place.” Send your congratulatory emails to norbert@tripletigers.com.
