Plen On The Loose

• After 6+ years as VP of Marketing and Promotion with Ingrooves, promo pro Michael Plen exits as UMG’s recent acquisition of Ingrooves has eliminated his position. Plen commented, “I had a strong time at Ingrooves where working with some of the best music and the leading edge analytical technology has been the purest of education I could learn for today’s marketing world.”

Plen is probably best known and loved for his for his legendary 16-year run at Virgin Records, where he rose to SVP of Promotion until May 2002. Other notable executive stints include EVP positions at FaderLabel and Shangri-la Music, as well as stops with IRS and Sanctuary Records Group.
