Red Street Enhanced With Steele & Herrmann
• Red Street Records heads into a rising Q2 with the addition of two new staff members — Michael Steele as VP of Streaming and Playlist Strategy, and Bridget Herrmann as Regional Director of Country Promotion.
Steele, former Director of Playlist Programming Development at Warner Music Group, brings an unrivaled proficiency across digital streaming platforms, strategic playlisting and developing and executing marketing plans aimed at driving consumption, making him an integral piece in the growth of the Red Street Records’ roster. Steele’s lengthy radio background includes a stint as MD at KFMB (Star 100.7)/San Diego, followed by a move to KIIS-FM/Los Angeles, where he served as VP of Music Programming and Creative Director from 1999-2003. Steele was also the founder and inaugural PD of Entravision’s groundbreaking Alternative duo KDLD & KDLE (Indie 103.1)/Los Angeles from 2003-2007, later going on to serve as Director of Operations and Programming for the now former KTWN/Minneapolis.
Pittsburgh native and Chicago resident Bridget Herrmann brings nearly 15 years of radio promotion expertise to Red Street Records Country. Her prior experience includes radio promotion at A&M/Octone Records and Crush Music Management until moving to the Country format in 2018 to join Warner Music Nashville, where she most recently served as Regional Manager, North. Herman will report to the department’s SVP Andy Elliot.
After a year of many exciting “firsts” as a company in 2023, Owner/Chairman Dan Crockett and CEO Jay DeMarcus are eager for what’s to come amidst this promising expansion. DeMarcus commented, “It’s amazing to see how far we’ve come in such a short time, and I’m thrilled to welcome Michael and Bridget to this already extraordinary team.”
