Remembering Bev Stevens
• We would like to extend our most sincere belated condolences to the family, friends and former colleagues of Beverly Stevens, best known and loved as the former longtime Bay Area promo rep for Warner Bros. Records, who passed away on August 20 in Colorado Springs, CO after a battle with cancer. She was 66 years old.
A memorial service will held tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 7 in Bev’s hometown of Rocky Ford, CO. For her many California friends, the family is planning to hold a celebration of her life in early November.
Bev’s family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to her favorite animal rescue charity, Best Friends Animal Society. There are two ways to make a donation: 1) Call Best Friends at 435-644-2001 (Option 5) and tell them you’re making a donation in Beverly Stevens’ name. If you ask that a sympathy card be mailed to her mother, Lois Schwien, they will do it, acknowledging your kind gift on her behalf. They already have Lois’ address information on file; 2) You can mail a check to: Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Road, Kanab, UT 84741 Attn: Jonna Wiedmaier. Please include Beverly’s name and request that a sympathy card be sent to her mother.
