Nordström will report to Stu Bergen, CEO, International and Global Commercial Services for Warner Music Group (WMG), who commented, “For the past decade, Niko has led Warner Music Finland, where he has nurtured local artists and broken international stars, while doubling our market share in one of the world’s most advanced subscription markets. One of WMG’s true stars, he’ll be bringing his exceptional management skills, artist development chops, and streaming knowledge to this important post. I’m excited to see what Niko, our outstanding local team, and our extraordinary artists achieve together.”
Nordström remarked, “I’m thrilled to be taking up this new role. Tony has transformed this company into an artist-centric, fan-focused operation and I look forward to building on his achievements as we take Warner Music Australasia and our artists to new heights. This is a very exciting time to be at WMG, and I’m very grateful to Stu for his confidence and support. Finally, I would like to thank Jonas Siljemark, my long-term workmate Asko Kallonen, all my colleagues and all our artists in the Nordics for the most amazing ride over the past ten years.” Nordström will be based Warner Music Australia’s Sydney office and will begin his new adventure Down Under following the completion of normal immigration procedures.
