Sony Music Names Davis As EVP/HR Chief
• Sony Music Entertainment (SME) announced the appointment of Andrew Davis as Executive Vice President and Global Chief Human Resources Officer, starting in early January. Davis will be based in New York and report to Rob Stringer, Chairman, Sony Music Group and Kevin Kelleher, Chief Operating Officer, Sony Music Entertainment. With experience leading teams at Fortune 500 companies, Davis will be charged with leading SME’s global human resources function including talent acquisition, talent management, compensation and benefits, as well as organizational development across the Company’s global operations.
In making the announcement, Stringer said, “Advancing our Human Resources policies and strategies is a top priority for our company to grow our workplace worldwide. Andrew’s experience leading global teams and building diverse pools of candidates in organizations will be an important contribution to our Company’s future.” Kelleher commented, “We are very happy to welcome Andrew in a key role for our Company to help us continue attracting and retaining the best employee talent. He brings his deep expertise in building progressive Human Resources initiatives and will work closely with all of our divisions.”
Davis was most recently Chief HR & Inclusion Officer for Lennar Corporation. Before that he spent more than a decade leading HR teams and strategies at The Coca-Cola Company, including a stint leading the Southeast Asia HR function, based in Cambodia. Earlier in his career Davis held various HR roles at The Home Depot, BET, Yum Brands and Best Buy.
