Stoney Creek Creates Ripples
• BBR Music Group imprint Stoney Creek Records has promoted Stan Marczewski to Director of National Promotion, and hired Stefani Waters as Director of Southeast Regional Promotion. Stoney Creek Records is the label home of Randy Houser, Jimmie Allen and Parmalee, rising star Lindsay Ell, multi-national six-man band King Calaway, plus emerging acts Walker McGuire and Adam Craig.
Marczewski (left) joined BBR Music Group in 2014 and most recently served as Director of Midwest Regional Promotion for Stoney Creek Records. He will continue to handle those responsibilities in addition to his new role as Director of National Promotion, reporting directly to Stoney Creek VP of Promotion, Byron Kennedy. Marczewski began his career working with Little Big Town’s management and started doing record promotion at Columbia Records Nashville. “Stan’s tireless work effort, intensity and attention to detail made him the person we simply could not deny this position,” said Carson James, SVP of Promotion, BBR Music Group. “His success in the Midwest was never overlooked and has rightfully earned him the National position we’re proud to announce today!” Marczewski can be congratulated at 615-610-2122 or stan@stoneycreekrecords.com.
The Los Angeles-based Water (right) joins Stoney Creek after a five-year stint in Pop & Rhythm Promotion at Republic Records. Before that she spent eight years in promotion with Warner Bros Records, rising from Coordinator to Manager. “Stefani is everything you want and need in a promotion person,” says Byron Kennedy, Stoney Creek VP of Promotion. “Stefani was my rep when I programmed KSFM/Sacramento a few years back and I was immediately impressed by her creativity and ability to keep me focused on her records while my attention was split between formats.
