Temske Is Capitol’s Streaming Guy
Capitol Music Group has promoted Jeff Temske to head a newly created department as Senior Vice President, Streaming Strategy and Research. In his lofty new position, Temske, who most recently served as CMG’s VP of Industry Research, will report to Chief Operating Officer Michelle Jubelirer and oversee the company’s global efforts to successfully launch and expand the growth of its artists and their music on key streaming platforms — including Amazon Music, Apple Music, iHeartRadio, SoundCloud and Spotify – while developing and refining strategies to maximize revenues. Temske will continue to be based at the Capitol Tower in Hollywood.
Jubelirer remarked, “Jeff has been an extremely valuable member of our team since we began our resurgence four years ago, and his knowledge, abilities and hard work have contributed greatly to our success. He possesses a deep understanding of the streaming universe on a global level and his extensive background in research and analysis make him the ideal person to lead this important new department. I know that everyone at CMG joins me in congratulating Jeff on this well-deserved promotion.”
Temske commented, “I’m thrilled to be taking on such a forward-thinking role within CMG and help position the company as the industry’s leader in the streaming space. This is such an exciting time for our industry as fans worldwide continue to evolve their music consumption habits, and I look forward to working with all of our partners to help define and navigate the future. I extend my genuine thanks to Steve Barnett, Michelle Jubelirer and Scott Greer for this tremendous opportunity, and to everyone I’ve worked with at the label who has helped me to broaden my skills and knowledge.”
