UMG Nashville Welcomes Houston Gaither

• UMG Nashville announces the addition of radio and records veteran Houston Gaither to its Radio Promotions team as Director of Radio Marketing, overseeing all audio and video content for the UMGN promotions department.

Originally from Coweta, OK, Gaither began his radio career as an on-air personality for Cox Media Group’s KWEN (K95.5)/Tulsa while attending Rogers State University.

Following graduation, Gaither went on to serve as APD/MD/afternoons for iHeartMedia’s KTGX (106.1 The Twister)/Tulsa and sister KTST (101.9 The Twister)/Oklahoma City.

Gaither transitioned to the label side in June 2021, relocating to Nashville as Manager of Content, Promotion, & Artist Development for Sony Music Nashville. “We are very excited to have Houston join the UMG Nashville family,” says Mike Harris, UMGN EVP & COO. “His vast radio experience and overall knowledge of the Country genre are a perfect fit for the Universal Nashville promotion team.”
