WFUV’s Holiday Cheer Returns
• After a two-year hiatus, Fordham University non-comm 90.7 WFUV/New York proudly announces the return of its Holiday Cheer for FUV concert, happening Tuesday, Dec. 6 at New York’s iconic Beacon Theatre.
This 16th annual show stars beloved, Austin-bred rockers Spoon, adventurous pop provocateurs Lucius, and Grammy-winning blues prodigy Christone “Kingfish” Ingram.
“The power of live music will be back on full display at Holiday Cheer,” says Rich McLaughlin, PD of WFUV. “After enduring a two-year pandemic hiatus, the WFUV team was determined to make a bold musical statement for Holiday Cheer in 2022. This line-up of electrifying musicians delivers convincingly. We’re grateful for the opportunity to gather with our listening community once again. And how fortuitous that it happens in time to celebrate WFUV’s 75th anniversary!”
Tickets for the show, a benefit for the radio station, go on general sale this Friday, Sept. 23 at 9am ET through Ticketmaster, Ticketmaster Charge By Phone (1-866-858-0008), all Ticketmaster outlets, and via the Beacon Theatre at beacontheatre.com. A limited number of VIP tickets are available for $500 each, which include the concert and a VIP party. Holiday Cheer for FUV is produced in conjunction with MSG Entertainment.
