Barnard Returns To Hubbard Radio
• Twin Cities radio legend Tom Barnard, who notably spent nearly four decades hosting The Tom Barnard Morning Show on Cumulus Classic Rock KQRS/Minneapolis until December 2022 is completing a full-circle in his 50-year Hall of Fame career by inking a deal with Hubbard Radio to produce a live-streaming weekday radio show and companion podcast.
The announcement was made by Dan Seeman, Hubbard Radio VP/Region Manager for Minnesota, who said, “This is an incredible opportunity for Hubbard Radio. Tom is a Twin Cities radio legend. With this partnership, Tom’s legions of listeners and fans will be able to listen to this iconic personality on multiple digital channels, both live and on-demand.”
The Tom Barnard Morning Show Podcast will be a multi-platform show, featuring Barnard alongside a co-host, producer and cast of contributors live-streaming weekdays from 7-10am, along with live video, and an audio podcast available 24/7 on-demand. Fans will also find Barnard on this own custom app, YouTube and social media.
“I still love this business and love my listeners and clients,” said Barnard, a 2017 inductee into the Radio Hall of Fame and a 2018 inductee into the Minnesota Broadcasters Hall of Fame. “The opportunity with Hubbard comes at the perfect time in my career, and I look forward to reaching new and old listeners through streaming and podcasting.” Seeman added, “Our business is changing. More and more people are listening and watching their favorite shows on streaming and on-demand platforms. The Tom Barnard Morning Show Podcast is the natural evolution in Tom’s legendary career.”
Making this deal even more special – Barnard started his career 50 years ago when he was hired by Hubbard to do nights on 1500 KSTP — The Music Station. “I am absolutely honored to end my career right here where it started, with the Hubbard family and Hubbard Broadcasting,” Barnard said.
