Benztown Names McWhorter Head Writer
• Benztown has appointed Leon McWhorter as Head Writer. McWhorter is the newest addition to Benztown and client partner Yamanair Creative‘s writers’ room, serving Commercial Production clients across the U.S. He will report to MJ Bloch, Benztown’s East Coast Director of Commercial Production, and Darren Silva, West Coast Director of Commercial Production for Benztown.
McWhorter brings with him 30 years of experience writing, producing, and voicing advertising spots and campaigns for a plethora of major brands, including General Motors, McDonald’s, Nestle’, Sony, Horizon Dairy, Conagra, Universal Pictures, Texas Tourism, Pace Picante Sauce, Siemens, Walt Disney Pictures, Pixar, Disney Resorts & Cruise Lines, and Sara Lee. He has also written for television, authored stage plays and screenplays, and published a book.
